Spring Trip (Space Camp)

Dates: 03/17/2012 - 03/18/2012 Dates: 03/17/2012 - 03/18/2012 Times: 10:30 - 14:00 Location: U.S Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville, AL

Latest details:

- An exact itinerary will be given to you at the time of Check in when you arrive at 11 a.m. Central to the Habitat Red Tower Walk through Gates
- Please have all children have their cell phones off including the parents during the time they are here. Calls can be made at night after the program and before lights out at 10 p.m. All cells must be left in lockers and locked up and turned off during the program, or if adults must have cell phones they must be kept off or on vibrate as to not to disturb the group and the Counselor briefings.
- Cameras/either video or still / digital are allowed but are not permitted to be used in/during any movies.
- Space Camp is not responsible if anything goes missing. So please make sure your group brings locks for the lockers. Standard locks are great like they would use on a locker at school.
- Your group will be housed in Habitat 2. Your bays for your males (Dads and boys) are Aquarius (holds 37) and Orion (holds 42) Males. Your females (Moms and girls) are in the Phoenix bay and that bay holds (11) ladies for your group.
- Your group will have 3 teams. Up to 30 on each team. Please separate your group into 3 equal teams before you arrive. (Rob will provide group splits in subsequent e-mail – families with two sons in scouting and/or siblings will be kept together, but that might mean one son won’t be with his Den)

We have 90 kids/parents going from our group, so please plan to wear your Space Camp t-shirt on Saturday (or your Pack t-shirt if you did not buy a Space Camp t-shirt) and I ask parents and leaders to assist with keeping everyone organized and behaving – we are representing our Pack, our community, and Cub Scouts.

For those driving up Friday night that want to go to dinner together, we’ll meet informally in the hotel lobby at 6 PM.

The drive is supposed to take about 4 hours, so leave yourself plenty of time and remember the time difference.
