Den meeting dates through December at Sharon Forks Library:
- Tuesday, October 4 – 6:45 to 8:00 PM I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday night – some of the things we’ll be covering include – what makes America special, citizenship, water, energy, electricity, fingerprinting, and helping law enforcement. See you Tuesday!
Pack meeting – October 11
October 21 and 22 – Fall Campout (pre-registration required) Pack Fall Camping Trip – we’ve finally been able to clear our schedule so Sandy, Matthew and myself are going, planning to leave soon after early release on Friday, October 21 so that we can get there and get our tent set up before dark. We’ll bring our camp coffee maker, so there are no excuses for everyone not coming!
Rocket Launch – Saturday, November 5 – if you don’t have a rocket or engine, go to Michael’s – the store near Kohl’s on 141 has plenty of kits in the rear right hand corner of the store. If you print out the Sunday Michael’s coupon, you can save 40% of the highest priced item
- Saturday, November 12 Deerlake flag retirement ceremony
- Tuesday, November 29 – 6:45 to 8:00 PM
- Tuesday, December 6 – 6:45 to 8:00 PM

I am also working on some Den “go see it” type activities on upcoming weekends – as I get things finalized, I will pass along the dates/details, but so far what I’m working on getting set-up includes the following:
- Forsyth County Recycling Center tour – tentative for around 10 or 11 AM on Saturday, November 19 – detail to be finalized
- WXIA 11-Alive TV Station tour – working on an upcoming weekend opportunity – details to be finalized
- Lowe’s Build-It – these take place twice per month, so looking to lock in specific date – timing would be to arrive by 9:45 AM on Saturday, at the Lowe’s near Kohl’s on 141
- Forsyth County Fire Safety House – a house set up to teach kids about fire safety
- Atlanta Cyclorama & Atlanta Zoo – these are located in the same area of Grant Park, in Atlanta – looking at potential dates and group discounts
For the above potential Den outings, I’m targeting for weekends that don’t already have Pack activities, so the following are potential dates:

- October 15 or 16
- October 29 or 30
- November 7
- November 19 or 20
- December 3 or 4
- December 10 or 11
